Wugu Shourangtang

The Wugu Shourangtang is the family home where local notable Wu Yu started his family. It is also a historical building. In 1916, in order to celebrate the seventieth birthday of Wu Yu, who had served as the village chief of Guizhikeng District, Wu Yu’s descendants pooled 30,000 yuan. Using the steamship of the family business ‘Hefeng Firm’, they transported many building materials such as porcelain and stone from other places. A Minnan-style three-sided courtyard was built at the intersection of Chengtai Road and Denglin Road in Wugu District. The hall name of the Wu family’s ‘lower house’ is ‘Shourangtang’. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, from 09:00 to 17:00.
