Established in 1873, Daguan Yixue serves as both a temple and a school. The main hall enshrines Wenchang Jun, along with the book and sword attendants, which are among the ancient deities in New Taipei City. Confucius is also worshipped here, making it the venue for the grand Confucius ceremony in New Taipei City. The site is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:30.
Upon entering the temple, visitors may notice a kindergarten within its premises. Rest assured, this is indeed Daguan Book Society.
