Mingchi National Forest Recreation Area features a lakeside trail and pavilions, with the lakeside garden as the highlight of the visit. The area is divided into Ciyuan, Jingshi Garden, and Cang Garden. There is a 150-meter artificial lake surrounded by pristine forests, with a year-round misty and enchanting view, earning it the reputation of ‘Pearl of the Northern Cross.’ Mingchi serves as the watershed between Gaokan Creek and Lanyang Creek and is also the highest point on the Northern Cross-Island Highway. Open all year round from 8:00 to 16:30.
