Jiuqu Cave is located in Taroko. It was built by cutting through mountains and digging tunnels when the Central Cross-Island Highway was opened in 1955. Due to terrain cutting, a winding corridor is formed here, hence it is named Jiuqu Cave. The Jiuqu Cave Tunnel is 1,220 meters long and is a major wonder of the Central Cross-Island Highway. Open all year round and all day long.
