In the mysterious green tunnel, alongside a small river, there is a dense forest. This is why the Sicao Green Tunnel is nicknamed the ‘Miniature Amazon River of Taiwan’.
Another must-see is to take a bamboo raft tour through the Sicao Green Tunnel. Apart from admiring the world-famous Black-faced Spoonbill, the entire boat trip takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. After returning to the Taijiang Wharf, visitors can use their boat tickets to visit the Sperm Whale Exhibition Hall nearby for free. The hall houses a large number of complete sperm whale mother and calf specimens, as well as displays and introductions of various crab species in Taiwan. It is an ideal place for family visits. The opening hours are from 8:00 to 16:00 all year round.
