Yule Pavilion, constructed in 1961, is a traditional Chinese hexagonal pavilion. Inside, it displays the maxims from the ‘Yule Chapter’ and the aphorism ‘The wise love mountains, the benevolent love water’, reminding visitors of the value of being close to nature and landscapes.

The square in front of the pavilion offers an expansive view, from where one can overlook the Qinglong Mountain range on the opposite bank, as well as the Lalu Island, Xuanguang Temple, Xuanzang Temple, and the Cien Pagoda, which form a straight line that marks the boundary between Sun Moon Lake and Moon Lake.

The pavilion is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
