Snow Mountain Pit is located at the confluence of Xue Shan Creek and Da An Creek in Heping Township, Taichung County. The peach blossoms, covering the mountains and fields, bloom from mid-February to mid-March, and the fruit, known as May Peach, can be harvested after the flowering season in May. Snow Mountain Pit is renowned as the origin of May Peach. Also known as Taoshan Community, it is a tranquil small settlement nestled among mountains, surrounded by grand valley scenery. The residents, who rely on agriculture, are famous for producing sweet persimmons from Motianling and bucket oranges. The plateau features a large area of peach orchards, creating a spectacular and enchanting peach blossom landscape. Around New Year’s Day, the area of Snow Mountain Pit is adorned with blooming peach blossoms, and when the flowering season arrives, the pink petals dance in the wind, presenting a colorful and vibrant scene that enhances the tranquil Da An Valley with a flourish of blossoms. The area is open all day long.
