Xinwei Forest Park is situated on a terrace on the west bank of the Laonong River in Liouguei District, Kaohsiung City. Originally part of the old riverbed of Laonong River, it was once renowned for its fertile soil and used as a nursery. The nursery no longer exists today.
The park features an avenue lined with mahogany trees, surrounded by lush greenery. During the autumn and winter seasons, the park takes on a particularly picturesque and poetic atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls and photography.
