Suan-Tou Sugarcane Field Cultural Park is located in the Factory Village, Liujia Township, Chiayi County, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Puzi River, and is named after the nearby Suan-Tou Village across the river. It was formerly known as the ‘Suan-Tou Sugar Factory’. The site suffered significant damage during the Nari typhoon, which led to the cessation of its sugar production operations. In 2002, the area was repurposed and planned to become the Suan-Tou Sugarcane Field Cultural Park. It is open to visitors year-round from 08:00 to 17:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
