The Qingquan Catholic Church is the first Catholic church in Qingquan. It is also the religious center of the Qingquan tribe. Atayal scholars can often be seen coming in and out of the church. The first priest of this church is from Spain. Since 1976, Father Tomás O’Leary from the United States has served here until now. In this small church, you can see exquisite glass paintings. The murals inside the church are mainly based on ethnic minority legends and traditional lives, and there are also many ethnic minority carvings. The Qingquan Catholic Church was built in 1955, but it was destroyed by a typhoon in 1963. What we see now is the church that was relocated and rebuilt later.
