Jile Temple’s appearance is not that of an ordinary temple; instead, it resembles a school. This design choice reflects the temple’s educational mission, which is to nurture individuals who are well-versed in Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and who possess strong lecturing, teaching, and Dharma-propagating skills, along with excellent moral character.
The temple is a seven-story structure, with a basement and six floors above ground. The basement is a versatile space capable of accommodating up to a thousand people and typically functions as a dignified and pristine dining hall.
Operating Hours: Jile Temple is open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM every day of the year.
