The National Palace Museum Southern Branch was established to stimulate the cultural, educational, social, and economic development of the central and southern regions. It is positioned as the ‘Asian Art and Culture Museum’. The construction of the museum’s physical engineering was handled by the Construction and Planning Agency; the curation of exhibitions, on the other hand, is primarily based on the museum’s rich collections, supplemented by international loans, actively planning a variety of exciting exhibitions to fulfill the modern museum’s functions, including collection, research, conservation, education, display, entertainment, leisure, and cultural and creative industries.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; and on Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Preferential policies for children: Free admission for those under 18 years old at the National Palace Museum; free admission for those under 115 cm at the 101.
