Douliu Gate Tiankong – The Heavenly Mother

Douliu Tiankong, located in Yunlin County, is a temple dedicated to Mazu. Originally, it was situated next to the roundabout at the head of Taiping Road, in front of the train station, and was established around the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, circa 1720. This makes it one of the earliest Mazu temples on Douliu Street. Alongside Yongfu Temple, they are collectively referred to as “Mazu at the street corner, Guanyin at the street end.”
