Takiung Trading House was established in 1867 during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty as a commercial office by the British East India Company, located in Anping Haitou Community at the time, engaged in the bulk trade of sugar and other commodities.


Takiung Trading House, along with Yi Ji, He Ji, Dong Xing, and Lai Ji, were collectively known as the five major trading houses of Anping.


The Takiung Trading House was built in an arcade style to avoid rainwater and direct sunlight.


The Anping Tree House next door, which served as the warehouse for Takiung Trading House, is inseparable from it, and even now they are managed together.


Opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:30 all year round.
