In 1991, Taiwan enacted a comprehensive ban on the felling of natural forests, leading to the decline and silence of this small town. Today, it has been transformed into the Lin Tianshan Forestry Culture Park, which has been progressively restored over the years, including the railway, exhibition halls, Zhongshan Hall, the manager’s residence, the wood carving museum, the mechanical repair factory, the forest nostalgia museum, and the forestry life museum. This has made Lin Tianshan a well-preserved forest culture scenic spot in the eastern region.
Now, Lin Tianshan has shed its former glory, and the entire cypress wood architecture still emits a pleasant fragrance. The complete railway and cableway, combined with the unique community style, are gradually making Lin Tianshan a precious scenic spot that takes people back to the memories of logging. Opening hours are all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00-16:00. Mandatory tips for visitors: 1. Please do not bring pets, dangerous items, food, beverages, or umbrellas into any of the park’s museums. 2. Smoking, chewing gum, and betel nut are prohibited in all museums within the park. 3. On holidays, forest volunteers and other on-site personnel are stationed in the museums to provide explanations.Lin Tianshan Forestry Culture Park
