Nanfang is a truly open art gallery, featuring the ‘Urban Space Art Season’ with works by five artists: icy and sot, Li Binggang, Harada Toru, Wanda Draw, and Shi Zheng. Each artist, with their unique visual dimension, conveys their interpretation of the harmonious coexistence between people and the environment in contemporary times. When art pieces are presented openly to the public, stepping out of museums and galleries, artists break free from the confines of a niche circle of self-appreciation. Through wall paintings, they become an essential symbol of a city’s living conditions.
Hidden in the streets, there are intriguing little surprises: a piano that can play music like a real one when stepped on. If you happen to be able to play the piano, why not try playing a beautiful song with your feet? Additionally, there is a row of claw machines here. I was particularly drawn to the carrot held by the rabbit, so I only took a picture of it.
Don’t think this bronze statue is a real person. In fact, it’s fake. Someone cleverly put a mask on it, making it look like a real person at first glance. You can sit in this carriage for a photo, and you can pull up the canopy according to your mood.
In Nanfang, I also saw the grid of the steamed bun room from my childhood, a small boat, and of course, the ancient tree square filled with lanterns and bells. If you happen to wear a Hanfu, then this place is absolutely not to be missed. You can take very bright and beautiful photos here.
