Located to the east of the Shenmu Station at the main peak of Alishan, stands a towering red cypress tree that seems to reach the sky. The trunk is slightly inclined, and the main part has been broken, but the branches at the top remain lush and green. The tree stands approximately 52 meters tall with a circumference of about 23 meters, requiring more than a dozen people to encircle it. Majestic and robust, it is revered as the ‘Alishan Sacred Tree’.
