Ameishan, situated at the geographical heart of Green Island, stands as the island’s second tallest peak with an elevation of 276 meters. The landscape is marked by numerous short wild streams, each with a small drainage area. Most of these streams are dry valleys throughout the year, except for a few main streams that experience water flow during the rainy season. This unique feature is a vestige of a volcanic crater.
The terrain of Amei Mountain is characterized by an abundance of hills and a scarcity of flatlands. The central region boasts relatively high elevations, with streams radiating outwards from this central point. Amei Mountain is accessible to visitors all year round, with no restrictions on visiting hours, ensuring that it is open 24 hours a day.
