Baishatun Donglong Palace is located in Tongxiao Town, Miaoli County. It mainly enshrines Emperor Guan Shengdi. It was established in the first year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1821 AD). It has a history of 200 years and is the belief center of Emperor Guan Shengdi in Baishatun area. The ancestors moved the sacred statue from Zhangzhou, Fujian, passed through Xiamen and crossed the sea to Taiwan and stopped at Baishadun. According to the elders, before the temple was built, the ancestors had already established the Baishadun Emperor Guan Association to preach for the believers. Emperor Guan Shengdi is extremely powerful and eliminates disasters and misfortunes for the people. The believers’ requests are always answered and the incense is prosperous. However, Emperor Guan Shengdi instructed that the temple could only be built after a hundred years. The existing building of Baishatun Donglong Palace was rebuilt in 1973.
