Baojue Temple is located on Jianxing Road in Taichung City. It is a spacious and serene place for meditation and learning. The temple is a drum-tower-style building, mainly enshrining three statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha. The temple is famous for the Friendship Bell Tower, Seven-Pagoda, and the statue of Maitreya Buddha. In front of the giant Buddha is a garden square.
There used to be an early coal-transporting locomotive full of antique charm displayed on the square. Now it has been moved to Taichung Folk Park. In addition to the beautiful courtyard scenery, Baojue Temple also often holds sutra lectures, fasting conferences, and publishes monthly magazines.
