Cisheng Palace in Beitou District

Built in the 23rd year of Yongli in the Ming Dynasty. It was jointly established by residents from Tong’an and Zhangzhou counties in Fujian Province. It is an important temple in Beitou District and also an important spiritual sustenance for old Qili’an people. Its long history is comparable to Guandu Palace. Qili’an area was formerly the birthplace of agriculture in the Danbei area. ‘Cisheng Palace’ is also known as the ‘Temple of the First Emperor of the Five Grains’. It originally worships the First Emperor of the Five Grains, the Heavenly Holy Mother, and the God of Fortune and Virtue. The First Emperor of the Five Grains is the god of the five grains and also the origin of the temple name.
