The Guanghan Palace is named after its resemblance to the Moon Palace in the legend of Chang’e flying to the moon. It is located in Jinling Township, Shizhu County. The scenic area is adjacent to the golden tourist belt of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the ancient town of Xituo in the center of the Three Gorges Reservoir. It is about 50 kilometers away from Shizhu County seat and a 2-3 hour drive from the main city of Chongqing. It is the core scenic area of Qiyao Mountain National Geopark. It is famous for its large cave size, low temperature and strange landscapes. It is a great masterpiece of nature’s uncanny workmanship. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00. Preferential policies: Children: Free for those under 1.2 meters (inclusive). Elderly: Free for those aged 65 years old and above (inclusive).
