Carp Mountain, located southwest of Hualien City, is not very tall but offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the Pacific coastline to the east. It is an ecologically pleasant place for hiking. There is a dedicated mountain trail leading to the summit viewing platform starting from Carp Pond. Visitors can access the trail from next to Dalu Mountain Villa along Dagouxi Trail, or from next to Bishanyan Temple, and also connect to the Yuanjue Walkway. The trail along Carp Pond is lush with vegetation, and the path varies in steepness, making it suitable for both sightseeing and physical fitness. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening conditions.
