The Chaotian Wugu Palace in Meinong, Kaohsiung was established in the late years of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was brought to Taiwan from the native place by the Chen family whose ancestral home is Raoping County, Guangdong Province. It was originally enshrined in Xinzhuangzi, a newly reclaimed tribe in the local area. Later, it was rebuilt and new deities were added and renamed as Chaotian Wugu Palace. The Great Emperor of the Five Grains has a black face and is naked.
