Checheng Settlement is an industrial heritage settlement in Nantou County. After the 921 earthquake, the Mingtan Scenic Area Administration carried out heritage protection and transformation and utilization for it. Taking leisure and tourism as its redevelopment goal, it transformed the abandoned industrial core in the settlement into a tourism core where modern urban people enjoy life. Through outdoor interactive spaces, indoor exhibition spaces, commercial spaces and catering spaces, it discusses the beneficial impacts of four experiences of comprehensiveness, nostalgia, spatiality and slow activity on settlement protection, and expounds on the industrial rebirth of Checheng Settlement with the spirit of LOHAS as the core.
