Dazhu Lake Bird Park is located to the southeast of Sun Moon Lake. It was formed by sedimentation, creating marshy shallows and dense reeds, which attract a variety of waterfowl to inhabit. In addition to herons that stay year-round, geese and ducks migrate here during the winter. Visitors can walk to the lakefront to observe the birds and listen to the surging sound of the water at the outlet.
