Dazhuang Haotian Palace is a Mazu temple located in Dazhuangli, Wuqi District, Taichung City. The temple building, incense pilgrimage activities and special ceremonies of this temple are listed as historical buildings and intangible cultural assets of Taichung City’s cultural assets. The main deity, Heavenly Empress, is commonly known as ‘Dazhuang Ma’ and ‘Diving Ma’ by believers. According to legend, the temple was built by a person surnamed Chen in the third year of Qianlong (1738). The main deity, Heavenly Empress, was invited and enshrined locally by people of Cantonese origin. It was renovated again in 1928 and completed in 1939, establishing the current structure. Opening hours: Open all year round from 5:00 to 21:30.
