Dejin Arch Dam is located in Heping District and is a concrete double-curvature arch dam. The dam intercepts the Dajia River to form a large lake approximately 14 kilometers long, known as the Dejin Reservoir. Constructed in 1974, the dam stands at a height of 180 meters and serves as an important hydroelectric power station in Taiwan, as well as providing flood control and irrigation. Together with the Dejin Reservoir, it has now become a scenic area with beautiful views. The specific opening hours are subject to the on-site announcement at the scenic area.
