The Shoutien Temple in Douliu is a Mazu temple located in Yunlin County. Its predecessor was a Mazu temple located next to the roundabout at the end of Taiping Road in front of the railway station. It was built in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (around 1720). It is one of the earlier Mazu temples in Douliu Street. Together with Yongfu Temple, it is called ‘Mazu Temple at the street head and Guanyin Pavilion at the street end.’ In 1937 (or 1938), it was forcibly demolished by the Japanese. In 1973, reconstruction began at the current site.
