Keelung has a group of fortress batteries in Taiwan. On various highlands inside and outside the bay, they form a mutually supporting formation to guard this port. As Keelung’s concave bay is a natural excellent port and is rich in coal mines, it has always been a place contested by military strategists in all eras. At present, most of the fort areas are open for tourism. From these places, one can overlook the entire Keelung Port.
