Yidan Bawawalong’s Solo Exhibition “The Wind on the Mountain Still Fragrant”
Taiwanese Paiwanese artist Yidan Bawawalong’s solo exhibition “The Wind on the Mountain Still Fragrant” will be held at Asia Art Center (Taipei) from September 14 to November 10, 2024. This is a continuation and response to the concept of the solo exhibition “The Wind on the Mountain is Very Fragrant” at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2014. That was Yidan’s first solo exhibition after the Morakot Typhoon in 2009, and it was also the first large-scale solo exhibition with a systematic arrangement in his artistic career.
After a lapse of 10 years, this solo exhibition “The Wind on the Mountain Still Fragrant” uses two images of “wind” and “spiritual bird” to symbolize Yidan’s worldview in art. In Yidan’s concept, the spiritual bird symbolizes eternal existence. Even though things change and stars move, life and all things inevitably change with the passage of time. But because of that eternal traction, the wind blowing from the mountain is still fragrant.
Opening hours: September 14 – November 10. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
