Fazang Temple, situated to the northwest of the Wugan settlement, began its construction journey in 1992. That year, Ye Nengshun, a local resident of Wugan, generously donated over 800 square meters of land, allowing for the temple’s initial construction, which covered more than 300 square meters.

The year 1996 was a significant milestone in the temple’s development, as the Trinity Hall, the basement, and the side rooms were completed, marking a substantial advancement in the temple’s construction.
Further construction efforts led to the addition of a Huayan Trinity Hall, which houses the statues of Vairocana Buddha, Manjushri Bodhisattva, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. These additions were completed and inaugurated by 2006, further enriching the spiritual and architectural landscape of Fazang Temple.
