Fengyi Academy is located beside the City God Temple in Fenggangli, Fengshan City. It was established in 1814 during the 19th year of Jiaqing. At that time, magistrate Wu Xingcheng initiated donations and land contributions, and then it was built by Zhang Tingqin, a candidate for teaching assistant and tribute student. There are many special architectural landscapes in the academy, such as the screen wall in front of the main gate, the drum stones on both sides of the main entrance and the two dragons attached to them.
