Futian Jing Temple was formerly known as ‘Yan Family Nunnery’ and was initially built in the late Qing Dynasty. In 2000, according to relevant religious policies, the Yan Family Nunnery originally located in Zhangjing in the north of the town was relocated here. The original nunnery for bhikkhunis was changed into a place for bhikkhus and renamed as Sitang Futian Jing Temple. Currently, the temple covers an area of 9,175 square meters, with a total construction area of 5,486 square meters.
It has a mountain gate, bell and drum towers, the Heavenly Kings Hall, the Yuantong Treasure Hall, a chanting building, a Dharma hall, east and west wing rooms, etc. There is a release pond in the temple, and the courtyards are filled with greenery ornaments.
