The Green Island Lighthouse is located on a northwestern cape, standing at 33.3 meters tall as a pure white cylindrical structure. It is set against the blue sky and beside the azure sea, offering a picturesque view and serving as an essential navigational marker for fishing boats and aircraft.
The construction of the Green Island Lighthouse was prompted by the sinking of the American cruise ship ‘Hoover’ near the island. In memory of the shipwreck and to ensure maritime safety, the U.S. government funded the building of this lighthouse the following year, making it a historically significant structure. It is open to the public all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 18:00.Green Island Lighthouse
