The ancient trail runs along the mountainside upstream of the Nanshih Creek, connecting Fushan Village in Wufeng District and Yuanshan Township in Yilan County. Starting from Fushan Village, it passes by tributaries such as Polu Creek and Lumen Creek. The end point is the Fushan Botanical Garden in the Hapin Nature Reserve. The ancient trail winds around the mountainside. The road condition is good, flat and easy to walk. It crosses the creek several times. There is cool creek water for bathing and resting. Although the road is long, the burden is light. It has always been a favorite route for mountaineers. Because it is located in a remote area, it maintains a primitive and rich forest appearance. The streams are not polluted. The upstream streams of the Nanshih Creek are clear. Along the ancient trail, it is full of greenery, with the chirping of insects and cicadas. The creek water is cool, making it suitable for walking in summer. Open all year round and open all day.
