The Jixing Temple was founded in 1917. Its predecessor was the ‘Yoshino Missionary Center’ of the Koyasan sect of Shingon Buddhism. In 1945, it was renamed as Jixing Temple. Eighty-eight Buddha statues with historical value are placed in the courtyard.


Opening hours: Open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 – 17:00.

Must-see tips: Like all Japanese temples, please wash your hands before entering. The first building inside the museum is a shrine. You need to take off your shoes when entering. Do not enter with shoes on.
