Hualien Jinguang Xiu Yuan

Jinguang Xiu Yuan, originally named the ‘Koyasan Missionary Office’ of the Japanese Shingon School’s Koyasan Sect, was established in 1917 AD. In 1945, it was renamed to its current name. The courtyard is home to eighty-eight historically significant Buddha statues.

The temple is open all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday, with operating hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It offers accessibility features such as wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances.

In accordance with Japanese temple customs, please wash your hands before entering. Upon arrival, the first building you will encounter is a shrine. Here, you must remove your shoes before entering, and shoes are not permitted inside.
