Longyin Temple, a sacred religious site in the Alishan area, began construction in 1980. The temple primarily honors the Zen Master Ji Gong. In front of the temple stands a handcrafted Tiangong furnace weighing over three thousand kilograms. The two-story temple is adorned with exquisite carvings, paintings, and Jiaozhi pottery decorations.
The 1995 TV series ‘Ji Gong’ set its story here, which brought the temple into the spotlight. It is open to the public from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM all year round.
