The ‘Tower of Light’ is located in Sanmin No. 1 Park at the intersection of Tongmeng Road and Zili Road in Sanmin District. It is a Taiwan Power Company’s elevated iron tower standing next to a community. In order to enhance the environmental beauty of the community and integrate the iron tower into the community, the concept of resource reuse is used to construct the iron tower as a special public art.
This gives new life to the originally abrupt iron tower and has become a special landmark of Sanmin District and an important resting place for local residents. The ‘Tower of Light’ is about forty meters high. According to the colors of the rainbow, from the base, it is painted in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. Whether it is day or night, there is a strong artistic atmosphere here. Tourists who come here can climb up the spiral staircase to the observation deck to overlook the beautiful scenery of the Love River. There are also explanatory signs of the Taiwan Power Company on the railings, explaining the company’s past, present, and future policies.
