Linji Huoguo Zen Temple is an extension of the Linji Sect’s Zhennan Huoguo Temple, with its mountain gate and main hall being typical architectural representations of Buddhist temples from the Edo period in Japan.
Located amidst mountains and waters, the temple is situated near the meandering Keelung River. The temple covers a vast area with a grand layout, originally including the mountain gate, Dharma hall, main hall, and the attached abbot’s quarters.
Opening hours are from 8:30 to 11:00 and 13:00 to 17:00 all year round.
