Lovers’ Bridge

Lovers’ Bridge is located in the Tamsui District of New Taipei City and serves as the cross-harbor bridge of the Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf. From the bridge, one can enjoy the renowned Tamsui sunset scenery. Officially opened on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2003, this cross-harbor bridge was constructed at a cost of seventy million yuan, spans approximately one hundred and sixty-five meters in length, and reaches a height of twelve meters.

The bridge’s structure is a streamlined, curved, single-sided cable-stayed bridge that spans the harbor area. The bridge resembles a white sail, symbolizing smooth sailing and good wishes. Visiting in the evening to appreciate the beautiful scenery is a very atmospheric experience, with the interplay of various lights and a stunning sunset, making it an ideal spot for couples. It takes about 3 minutes to walk across.

The bridge is open all year round, with full-day service facilities available, including barrier-free services: barrier-free parking and barrier-free entrances.
