The Lukang Folk Museum was originally the residence of the wealthy Lukang family, Gu Xianrong, a very beautiful Western-style building. It was later donated by the Gu family to establish the museum.
The museum houses a collection of local Lukang artifacts, including daily necessities, clothing accessories, opera instruments, and religious ceremonial items from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. The second floor of the museum displays the original appearance of the Gu family’s bedroom, meeting hall, VIP reception hall, and young lady’s bedroom, as well as dining utensils and calligraphy and painting documents. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00-17:00, all year round.Lukang Folk Museum
