The Jinan Temple in Nanfang’ao is located within the Su’ao Naval Base. It is a temple dedicated to Mazu, the Heavenly Empress. The statue of Mazu enshrined here weighs about 600 kilograms and is a ‘gem coral Mazu’ carved from coral and gold. The face, hands and token of Mazu are all carved from rare huge MOMO corals, which is extremely rare. In front of the statue of Mazu is placed a red coral tree. Mazu faces the busy fishing port and protects the fishermen who go out to sea and fish to return safely. Opening hours: Open all year round from 06:00 to 20:00.
