Zhongzheng Lake is located at the confluence of Qiangziliao Stream and Dakeng Stream in Meinong Town, Kaohsiung. It boasts a pristine natural environment, rich ecological resources, and serves as a habitat for a multitude of bird species. Originally a semi-artificial lake constructed during the Qing Dynasty, it was relied upon by local residents for water storage and irrigation of crops. Over time, it lost its irrigation function due to sediment accumulation and has now evolved into a larger lake wetland area in Meinong and Qishan regions. The lake is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
