Mongka Fude Palace, also known as Mongka Fude Mansion, is one of the earlier local temples located in the Mongka area of Taipei City. It was relocated to Changsha Park due to the expansion of Xichang Street. In the 48th year of the Kangxi era (1709), people from Quanzhou applied to reclaim the land in Mongka under the name ‘Chen Lai Zhang’. Initially, they built several thatched huts at the mouth of the Daxi River in Shamachushe to take shelter. Over time, more immigrants arrived, forming a market known as ‘Sweet Potato Market’. Around 1720, to provide a place of worship for the early settlers to pay their respects to the local earth deities, a small temple was constructed near Xichang Street, not far from Guiyang Street, which is now the present-day Mongka Fude Palace.
