The classic French musical Notre-Dame de Paris is adapted from the masterpiece of the great French writer Victor Hugo, set against the backdrop of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris at the end of the 15th century. The story revolves around the beautiful gypsy girl Esmeralda and four characters from different social classes – the Archdeacon Frollo, the Captain of the Guard Phoebus, the wandering poet Gringoire, and the hunchback of Notre-Dame, Quasimodo. Esmeralda falls in love with Phoebus at first sight, who, despite having a fiancée named Fleur-de-Lys, desires to have both. Meanwhile, the Archdeacon Frollo, unable to resist the taboo of his clerical status, also succumbs to Esmeralda’s charm; Quasimodo, who was raised by the Archdeacon since childhood and is physically deformed, also admires Esmeralda but, feeling unworthy, hides his love deep within. The classic French musical Notre-Dame de Paris depicts the characters living in a turbulent and unstable feudal society, deeply portraying the conflicts and oppositions between them, highlighting the contrast between human goodness and evil, loyalty and betrayal, and displaying strong dramatic tension. The show is open from April 3rd to April 5th, with performance times and duration subject to the venue.
