Nanbin Park is situated in Hualien City, with a coastline stretching 920 meters along the Pacific Ocean. The park is lush with green grass and enjoys clear skies and fresh air. During the day, parasailing and kites fill the sky, while at night, the park is illuminated by countless lights, attracting numerous vendors and crowds, making it an ideal spot for enjoying the mountains and the sea in Hualien.
The park is divided into various sections, including a coconut garden, camping area, horse riding club, children’s playground, marine amusement vacation center, and a folk village, emphasizing man-made entertainment facilities. Starting from the Beimen Park next to Zhongshan Bridge, following the sea wall along the old coastal railway, all the way to Nanbin Park, is a popular route for walking, watching the sea, playing in the water, and collecting peculiar stones. Nanbin Park has also planned a bicycle lane along the coast, starting from Nanbin Park in Hualien City, going north along the old port branch line to Beimen Park, then following the old railway to the northern control station of Hualien Port, with a total length of four kilometers. The park has been re-planned, and the original night market merchants have been transferred to Ziqiang Night Market or Rainbow Night Market.
