Nanrenshan Ecological Reserve is nestled in the tranquil Nanren Village, surrounded by mountains, offering a secluded paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. It is an untouched rainforest area with a well-planned trail starting from the Nanrenshan Management Station to Nanren Lake, covering a round trip of 8.6 kilometers, which takes approximately 2-3 hours to walk around. Along the trail, there are only a few wooden benches for visitors to rest briefly, with no other signs of human intervention. The park prohibits bringing outside food and has no vending stalls; visitors must bring their own drinking water.
Within the Nanrenshan Ecological Reserve, there are three perennial lakes: the Central Water Body, Nanren Lake, and Yilan Pond (also known as the Ancient Nanren Lake), with Nanren Lake being the most famous. Originally, Nanren Lake was just a few small swamps, but over the years, it has become a significant freshwater ecosystem in the Nanren waters due to the accumulation of rainwater and the construction of artificial embankments to block the mountain rainwater and spring water. The reserve is open all year round, from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Nanrenshan Ecological Reserve
