Nathan’s Former Residence is the former residence of Nathan, who served as the manager of the Kailuan Mining Bureau, located in Tianjin. It is situated within the current Wudadao Scenic Area and once served as the British Consulate in Tianjin. It is currently a cultural relics protection unit in Tianjin and a historically significant building under key protection.
Nathan’s Former Residence features a British courtyard-style three-story brick and wood structure, with a construction area of 2067 square meters and a total of 44 rooms. The roof is topped with red terracotta tiles.
