The Northeast region is adjacent to mountains and the sea. There are numerous bays and capes. It features jagged strange rocks and towering cliffs, magnificent marine erosion landforms, soft golden beaches, and colorful marine ecology. It also gives birth to simple human cultural and historical sites.


The national trail system of the Northeast Coast is located in the northeastern region of Taiwan. At present, the main trails are divided into Caoling Ancient Trail, Longling Ancient Trail and Jinzibei Ancient Trail. The branch trails include Canguangliao Mountain-No-Ear Teapot Mountain-Keelung Mountain Trail. Among them, Caoling Ancient Trail and Longling Ancient Trail are within the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area. The other Jinzibei Ancient Trail and Keelung Mountain-Canguangliao Mountain Trail are in Ruifang Town, Keelung City. There is a Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Administration set up in the scenic area, responsible for the development, construction and operation of the Northeast region. At present, tourist and recreational facilities have been successively completed in scenic spots such as Nanya, Bito Cape, Longdong Bay, Longdong South Entrance, Jinsha Bay, Yanliao, Longmen, Fulong, Shicheng, Dali and Beiguan. There is also a service center to provide tourists with information on tourism, accommodation and transportation. Public facilities such as public toilets and catering can be used.
